Reminds me of the store, no thanks.

Makes me think of the department store, so I am going to have to pass.

It's a department store in the mall to me. Used to be Hecht.
It's the weakest and limpest of the acy names. Even Lacey has more character than that.

I don't have strong feelings on Macy either way. But it definitely makes a better nickname than full name.

Personally, I don't like Macy. It makes me think of Macy Gray, of whom I am not very fond. I do, however, like the very similar Maisie, so I do understand the draw. The only name that comes to mind for which it could be a nickname is Marcella. I'm sure there are more, but my brain is tired just now.
