I've always thought this name was beautiful, even when I was REALLY young. But the biblical association has bothered me a lot, as well, so I kind of temporarily forgot about it until yesterday.
My mom came home from work (she owns/runs a childrens boutique) and said the cutest 3-month-old baby came in, named Delilah. It kind of made me think about the name. It's pretty, and I like most of the nick names a person could give to it. So WDYT? Any combo suggestions? So far I like:
Delilah Jane
Delilah Noelle
Delilah Pearl

My comment for Delilah gives my opinion: I do not think this is a good name. Despite how pretty it is, the original Delilah betrayed one of God's people, Samson. Because she betrayed Samson, I don't think this is a good name. I do acknowledge that it is pretty, though.

Honestly, do most people know the story of Delilah from the Bible? I certainly didn't... I think it's a pretty name. nmsaa but pretty.

Delilah Rose -Love it. But then, I love almost every name that invloves Rose or a form of it, lol!
Delilah Keavy -I don't like the meanings together, Delicate and Beautiful- very bad imo.

Yeah, I thought Asherah would be nice with Delilah :) They have similar origins.
