Welsh, you say? See, I'd have thought the Odh would be "Ow", like in bodhran (BOW ron). But that's Irish, isn't it...is there a dh in modern Welsh? Haven't come across one before

I don't know anything about Welsh, Odharnait is Irish. :)
As for bodhran, there are a few different pronunciations for it. BOW-rawn is the most commonly used, that's all.
