I came across the name Crofton (for a boy) in a magazine recently. What do you think of the name? Have you ever heard of it? Any associations?

The name rings a bell, as in I think possibly I read a fictional story and the last name was probably Crofton...
I don't think I care for it-sounds more like coughin' when I say it...
Although for a middle name it probably wouldn't be that bad:) lol

There is a school in my area called Crofton, it has a gorgeous campus and is has a lot of advanced academic programs. I was so jealous of the kids who went there when I was young. So that's my association.

I really don't like it as a name, it sounds like the sound a dog would make.
