[Opinions] Evol
I have seen people using the word Love as a name and I like the idea but would never do it myself, so it got me thinking to spell it backwards. Evol (Ev-ol) not E-vol.
If it were to be used I would think only the mn spot. Maybe even as a second mn.
What do you think? Are there any other words that can be spelled backwards for a name?Any combos you can think of?Abigail Evol Irene
Adalynn Evol
Adrienne Evol
Ana Evol Elise
Angelina Evol
Anya Evol
Candace Evol Marilyn
Corynn Evol Helene
Fiona Evol Camille
Gabrielle Evol Lucille
Genevieve Evol
Harmony Evol Athena
Harper Evol Christine
India Evol
Jillian Evol
Justice Evol Claire
Kenya Evol Danielle
Lillian Evol
Nadia Evol

Sorry, but it sound way too much like "evil" or like "devil" without the D. I think you should either use Love or a name that means love.

Well, well. In your place I'd seriously consider something else: Loveday, perhaps, which shortens pleasantly to Daisy, or Amanda, quite harmless in the mn slot; or Love itself or even Amoret. Or Amor, the name of a dodgy female singer where I live ... but that needn't matter and anyway you could reverse it tidily to Roma!

I can't get behind this name...
1. I think it looks masculine
2. It looks like "Evolve" with some letters cut off
3. It will get autocorrected to "evil"

What about..."love" in another language that is relevant to your background or interests? Then it's less blatant than Love but still will avoid being Evol. o_OOr another word that is connected to Love but isn't that, and that is maybe more palatable to you. Heart, Cherish, Joy, something like that. Evol looks like it's waiting for something else to finish it. Like Evol...ve. Evolve. Evol...yn. Evolyn (maybe not a a perfect example, but still).

Everyone seems to be saying no because it looks like "evil", and it does. But the first thing I saw was "eval" - a word that therapists use that's short for evaluation. So it makes me think of terrifying trips, sometimes all the way to different states, to strange doctors for problems I wasn't even having but everyone thought I was. To me, that's even worse than the general concept of evil.

Nothing wrong about the sound of it (except, yes, that it reminds of "evil", which may be ironical given the original intention). Anyway I never really understood the whole idea of spelling backwards a positive word like "heaven" or "love", it makes me think of a satanical practice I've seen in some horror movie... hahah. That being said, I like Angelina Evol.

bad ideaVery bad idea. It looks just like evil and is more than likely to be pronounced that way. You'd do better to choose an actual name that means love.

Evol, EvoliEvol is pretty ugly, but Evoli is a little better. I also came up with these once:Devas (saved)
Esira (arise)
Haissem (messiah)
Ciryl (lyric)
Eveileb (believe)
Evoda (a dove)
Erimda (admire)I may be spelling some of these things wrong, I'm really bad at backwardsing things.

Evoli is a pokemon name in French (but it was a one of the coolests, so the embarrassment is limited). You could make a nice themed sibset with Marill and Charizard!...Erimda is nice.

It still looks waaaay too much like it should be pronounced evil!I think Love makes a fine middle name.Elcarim - don't know why I've never seen that.

Virtue names (I also agree. Just use Love)I really like virtue names like Mercy, Peace, and Love. I think those have far deaper meanings than names like Faith, Hope, or Joy. At first glance a name like Love may seem outlandish but it has such a beautiful meaning that I don't see any reason to obscure the it by spelling it backwards or using a foreign word for it.

I agree, use LoveI think it is too much like Evil, too, even for a middle name. It's also a brand of frozen foods, sort of reminds me of an eco car name and olive oil (EVOO). :( You could also use another name that is "loving" if you didn't want to use Love, like Cherish
Caring (I know someone with this name actually)
Heart
Aimee
J'aime (the French word, not Jaime. I also know someone who has this as a middle name)
Cara
Carys
etc etc etc

Arrrgghh! I DO agree, use Love, however, I put this in the wrong place (again)Evol...
It seems a bit odd. And a bit ugly. To me, anyhow, it has an ugly sound. I'm saying it air-VOL but it could also be said EE-vol which is much closer to evil than it is to love.
Why not just use love? As a middle name it wouldn't cause any problems and would sound nice with a lot of things. And besides, reversing changes the nature of a thing. A lemon is an orange in reverse! (True fact) Oranges are sweet and lemons are sour. If your kid is named Evol she isn't named Love. If you want Love in a name, then use it just how it is. Don't try and turn it into something strange and new and not lovely at all.
Just my opinion :)

If it really bothers you when you put a response in the wrong place, you can edit out the body of your message, put in the heading either something like "Ignore, wrong place" or just "nt", and then put your response in the right place.
