I immediately thought of Nutella when I saw Martella in the subject line, so, yeah, it might be.
There are a number of similar names that wouldn't have the same problem: Marcella, Marlena, Marina, Martina, Mariella, Mariel. Even Marvel or Marvella, I guess, though I'd rather be Martella.
