Well, you've got me pegged. It reminds me of the jewelry store Zales, so people would be asking if you named her after the store here. It's also like Kayla, but for some reason you changed the first letter, so she would be 'different'.

I'd stay away from things like Pearl, Golda, Beryl, .... because of the jewelry connection. I'd say at least one mn should be more common, so she can fall back on one of them. Marie, Rose, Kate, Ann, Faith,

I don't mind it actually. It's a bit trendy but at least it's not as super common as Kayla or Layla.
