[Opinions] Guymon
The Game of Thrones thread reminded my of a name that always catches my eye when I'm watching the series, Guymon. Apparently it's the name of a producer.
I have a soft spot for Guy but realise it's kind of unusable but what about Guymon? I prefer it pronounced in English but I quite like it with a French pronunciation too, but I don't know the nationality of this particular Guymon. So what do you think? Guymon, yes or no?
* Ellen * Astrid * Eira * August * Isidore * Emmanuel *
but she wants to be sure 'cause you know sometimes words have two meanings

Huh, the look doesn't appeal to me at all, but the sound is alright. GUY-mon or GEE-mon (like geese)? Hm. I don't mind either. But I feel like Guy is not a great nickname option, so you might have to fight that a bit. Or come up with something else. Geem might work. Guym is a bit weird. Maybe initials? Not that it needs a nickname, necessarily.
I don't like it. It reminds me of the term 'Guyman' which is what Nigerian 419 scammers call themselves.
Guymon is a tiny, godforsaken town in Oklahoma. An Okie would think it was pretty weird to use Guymon as a first name.
