Sadly, I think homer Simpson has done it for Homer. Too bad, it's a good name.

Unfortunately, I am a product of my upbringing and Homer is more "Simpsons" than anything else to me. Paired with the right first name, I forget all about the animated name sake- but because of the association I have, I choose Omar.

Definitely Omar, I think it's handsome. Homer is still too Simpson for me.

Homer for me, but it's a personal association. My great-grandfather was Homer.

I think they're both ugly. I suppose I'd go for Omar because it doesn't have the goofy association of Homer Simpson.

I say Omar. I love it. Homer on the other hand makes me think of the Simpsons.

Omar. Homer reminds me of either Homer Simpson or the Greek epic poet. Most people will probably think of the former first unless they're really into literature or Greek mythology - then they might think of the latter first.
