[Facts] Re: KURDISH NAMES
in reply to a message by Kassios
Kurdish names are interesting; they never name a child after an animal, but I met a girl whose name means, literally, "glitter". Not the verb, to glitter, but the noun, glitter; that stuff which is impossible to vaccum out of carpets. And the last name is the father's first name, so if you have a son named after his father, named after his grandfather, his name might very well be Mohamed Mohamed Mohamed, or, in the Kurdish form, Hama Hama Hama! The name Hama is so common that if you don't know a little boy's name, you simply address him as "Hama"!
