Help[Opinions] Skylar and Melody
I came across these names is a book.they are sisters.
Here is my opinion on Skylar.
I think it is pretty and unusual.I think it is a cross between Taylor and Sky.I think these names are pretty also.Here is my opinion on Melody.I don't really like it.I think it is too musical.I don't like the nickname Mel.
In the book they also have a brother called Bill.
What are your opinions on these names.

I guess Skylar is okay, but I am not a huge fan. I love Melody though, but in more of a GP kind of a way.

Skylar is not unusual or uncommon, on either girls or boys. It's not a combination of Taylor and Sky, it's a form of the surname Schuyler, the spelling of which is not common for obvious reasons.
I don't like Skylar, it doesn't look or sound attractive.
Melody is okay but to my ear it's very hard to distinguish from Melanie, a name I really do like.
Bill has always seemed odd on a young boy. There was one in school with me and even as a kid I thought it was funny he went by Bill, though maybe it was to be expected because there was also a Billy and a Will in the grade with him. It's a nice, friendly nickname for a grown man.

I don't like Skylar at all. It's so very gender-neutral that it kind of annoys me. Plus it just feels so fluffy and without substance.
I don't love Melody, but it's okay. I like the musical association. But I don't really like Mel either - it's too common because of all the Melanies and Melissas.
I hate Bill, but William is fine and I imagine that might be his full name.
