[Opinions] Sherry
Lately, I've really taken a liking to the name Sherry. However, it seems better as a nickname, and I can't think of any names that have Sherry as a nickname. Well, besides Sheryl, which I'm not very fond of. Are there any names you can think of with the nickname sherry?

There's Sharon, or Charlene, I guess, or even Shirley, as a stretch. I think Shari Lewis was born Shirley.
I like the sound of the name but prefer Sherri or Shari. My aunt, the one who did the biggest portion of raising me, is named Shari Lynne.

I rather agree with mirfak on this - Sherry is just Sherry. If I met a Sherry I would not assume her name was short for anything. But, just to play along...Shirin, Shireen
Charisse
Sheherazade!
Shirleen?
Sherylin?
Sher Khan

I disagree that it seems better as a nickname. It's like Kelly - whole. Kelly doesn't have to be a nickname. And anyway, I can't think of any full names that don't suck all the light out of Sherry. Sheridan ... UGH.By the way I love the name Sherry. A lot.

Sherry is cute, but I agree that it's better as a nickname than a full name. Perhaps...Sharon
Sheiramoth
Cerise
Sherika
Shirin
Sharona

Reminded me immediately of Sharona because of that old song. Then, Sharon, Sheherazade... maybe Sheridan? (It sounds like a hotel's name to me.)Anyway, I wouldn't use it as a nickname either, it's like calling someone Whisky.
