[Opinions] Re: Religious Ed. Birth Announcements

Shannon bothers me because it's faux Irish. Americans think they are being all Irish when they use it. I knew the mother of a Shannon who said she was "honoring her Irish heritage" when she named her daughter Shannon. Um, no. Shannon is not used as a personal name in Ireland. It's the name of a river. It's like an Irish person thinking that they are being really American by naming their kid Mississippi. Anyone who wants an Irish name should use an authentically Irish personal name.
I hate Audrey. The initial "aaww" sounds make me a little physically ill.
I like Annabelle but I have a feeling that people who use it think they're being all cutting edge and don't realize that it's becoming really trendy. I hate Belle, though, I'd never call an Annabelle Belle.
Grace is fine but it's a filler middle name.
