[Opinions] Cassandra
Today I was struck by this name. I always thought it was a nice enough name, nothing I went crazy over, but today I'm feeling differently. It seems gentle, but strong, with a bit of history to boot.I really like Cass as a nickname. Are there other names (male & female) that Cass could be short for? What are your opinions of Cassandra?Good middle name pairings?

I love Cassandra. I totally agree with it being gentle and strong at the same time, and I love anything connected to Greek mythology. Cass and Cassie are both nice nicknames to me. I can't think of many other Cass full names except
Cassidy
Cassander
Cassia
Cassius
Cassiopeia
Acacia - maybe? I pronounce it a-KAY-sha (and I'm not particularly keen on it myself) but Cass could work.Middle name possibilities:
Cassandra Juno
Cassandra Isobel
Cassandra Emilie
Cassandra Tora
Cassandra Cecily
Cassandra Alice
Cassandra Juliet
Cassandra Penelope
Cassandra Ruby
Cassandra Marcella
Cassandra Esme
Cassandra Iliana
Cassandra Lucy
Cassandra Thea
Cassandra Martine
Cassandra Marina
Cassandra Beatrice
Cassandra Elena
Cassandra Audrey

I love Cassandra! I was wondering why it felt so familiar to me until I remembered my niece is named Cassandra, but spelled Kassandra (which I don't like). I love Cass as a nickname, not so much Cassie.I think for a name like Cassandra, it needs a simple/short middle name. Cassandra Wren
Cassandra Plum
Cassandra May
Cassandra Anne
Cassandra Diane
Cassandra Hazel

I can see the appeal of Cass as a nickname. Cassandra is okay, but I don't love it. It's a bit on the frilly side for me. That said, I think it's totally usable and fits in nicely with common girls names style-wise, while standing a part a bit in terms of popularity. Some girl Cass names:
Cassarah
Cassia
Cassidy
CassiopeiaAnd boys:
Cassian
Cassander
Cassidy
Cassius

I love Cassandra but without any nickname.

I love it. Not overly nuts about Sandra, but I love Cassandra. I like Cassie, but not Cass so much, as a nickname.

Cassandra is okay, but only okay. It seems overdone somehow, despite its familiarity. Over dramatic.

I despise Cassandra. I want to like it, it was even my best friend's name in second grade, but I just can't. Caspar / Casper, Cassander, and Castor are nice for a boy. I also like Cassia and Cassiopeia for a girl. They're a bit much for many people though. I also like just Cas for a boy. It's a bit minimal and rather feminine but I find it appealing.Middle name pairings are tough for me. What about...
Cassandra Verity
Cassandra Ivy
Cassandra Margot
Cassandra Lily
Cassandra Claire
Cassandra Alice
Cassandra Eilidh
Cassandra Lark
Cassandra Sylvie
Cassandra Estelle
Cassandra Isabelle / Isabel / Isobel
Cassandra Violet
Cassandra Hazel
Cassandra Juliet
