[Opinions] Myla
What are your thoughts on the name Myla? I very much liked the name Milo for a boy when I was pregnant with my first child years ago. She ended up being a girl, so I had toyed with using the name Myla (as Mila, I felt, was pronounced more as MEE-la, not MY-la). I decided against it because most people told me it conjured up images of a mylar balloon.
I opened a news page this morning and saw that Calvin Klein had signed a woman with real proportions to be one of the new faces for their brand. Her name-- Myla Dalbesio.
Now that my oldest is 8, I'm just wondering if people's thoughts on Myla have shifted.

I know a little 5-year-old Myla who is all spunk and curls. I love it! I agree that Mila would be MEE-la and Myla would be MY-la. I like Myla much better (I also love Milo and had never connected the two - go figure).
I would never have associated the mylar balloon.

I know about three people named Mila and it is said MEE-la :)
I've never heard Myla before and I like it. I love Isla so that's probably why. It doesn't conjure up and image of a mylar balloon because I don't know why a mylar balloon is xD
Can I ask what you used instead of Myla?
