Sounded at first like a contrived elaboration of Enzo. I like the meaning you give better though, but prefer even Gentian as a name. There've got to be more great flower names for boys. I'm not crazy about Calyx, but it seems like the same style as Enzian.

Fair enough.
Calyx is nice only the Y annoys me kind of. I know a Calix and always thought it was pretty cool :)
