It CAN be used, but I personally think it is just a bit too much. I would even prefer Maxim or Maximo over it. However, if it's something you love, here are some options off the top of my head:Maximus Anthony George H.
Maximus Kyle Robert H.
Maximus Jasper Lee H.
Maximus Neville Scott H.
Maximus Ulysses Porter H.
Maximus James Victor H.
Maximus Daniel Elias H.
Maximus Gideon Charles H.
Maximus Eli William H.
Maximus Valerie Zane H. Etc.

Of course it can be. It's not terrible, but I do think it sounds rather pompous. Plus quite tease-able: gluteus maximus. It seems like the sort of name where the kid would always be "Max" and he'd prefer not to tell you his unusual full name and let you assume it is Maxwell.

I think it's usable. I guess Max would be the go-to nickname and I really don't like Max but I'm kind of neutral when it comes to Maximus. Maximus Thomas Rhys
Maximus Lawrence
Maximus John VictorMaximus is a strong name, maybe even overpowering, so I think it needs to be balanced with something more down-to-earth.

No, it's not usable. Not unless he wants his elders to ask, "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?" for the rest of his life.
Also, it's incredibly nerd-pretentious. I mean, I'm a nerd and I find that too much. I would keep away from it.
