I need to find out the origin of the name "Seil." I think it's biblical and is also a male name. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The closest I can get:
SHELA, a male name mentioned in Gen 38,5 ("request")
SELA, according to this board (look further down) used as a male name in modern Israel.
