Help[Opinions] Agatha or Adelaide?
I Love both, what are people's opinions on these names?

I am a fan of both names. Considering I have a daughter called Adelaide I'm a bit biased in it's favor.

I like both names. Both of them are elegant and classic. I do like Adelaide more though.

Agatha is alright, though not a fave of mine. Adelaide is a pretty name, I like it a lot. Adelaide is definitely my choice of the two.

I gosh I love so both so much. Agatha is woefully ignored. I suppose some people find it ugly, but it just doesn't sound ugly to me at all. All I think is "good" when I hear it. So lovely. Adelaide is fun and lilt-y to say. Also so lovely.

Definitely Adelaide. Elegant, and regal, but still energetic and lively. Agatha is okay, but as well as Agatha Christie, I also think of Miss Trunchbull from Matilda, and I just generally don't like the sound as much.

I'd prefer Agatha, I think just because I see Adelaide a lot on these boards. I actually see Adelaide as kind of a filler sometimes, which is unfortunate because it is a beautiful name in its own right. I just think people are attracted to the sounds.
I actually personally prefer Agata to both of these if that interests you (in the same way I prefer Marta to Martha).

I adore the witchiness of Agatha, but I think Adelaide would be an easier name to bear these days.

It's so odd to me that everyone thinks Agatha is witchy. It's so innocent and good to me. I picture a little girl with pigtails!

They're both ugly, but in different ways. Agatha is full of itself and its ugliness, like somebody with a missing eye who goes around scaring people by lifting up their lid to show the empty socket and pushing their face in front of the one they want to scare.
Adelaide just sounds dumpy and crotchety.

There is nothing appealing or pretty about Agatha, IMO. It's like an old woman's foot, covered in gross bunions. :P
