Pretty much the only reason I really like Amelia, is because of Amelia Pond "Amy" from Doctor Who, who was absolutely amazing. But in reality it's so popular where I live there's no way I'd use it as a first, although I am trying to fit it into a combo as a middle for Amy :). I've never been a fan of Amelie (or Emilia) to be honest. I think Amelie would sound beautiful in French, but it just feels flat and way less attractive when I say it (without my rubbish French accent). In a mostly English speaking country, Amelia's definitely my favourite. In terms of middles, I think since Amelia's so popular and well known, you can get away with a more out there middle, although both Amelia Elizabeth and Amelia Catherine sound great. I like:

Amelia Pippi
Amelia Clio
Amelia Sky
Amelia Xanthe
