[Opinions] Irvin
There are at least three people in my family tree with this name.Irvin Douglas (my great uncle, b. 1927)
John Irvin (one of my mother's cousins, b. 1944)
Stanley Irvin (another of my mother's cousins, b. 1950)My mother had about a billion cousins, since her father had ten siblings - I should post that sibest sometime and ask for opinions. ;)Anyway, the name Irvin jumped out at me, since I don't think I've ever seen it before. But it's listed here on BtN as a variant of Irving or Irwin. The popularity graph even shows it being rather popular in the US up until about 1930-1940.I've never felt much either way about the name Irving, but I've never liked Irwin. Not sure how I feel about Irvin, as it's so new to me.What are your thoughts/opinions?Irvin
Irving
Irvine
IrwinDo you know of other similar/related names? Do these names feel "dated"? Would they be usable? How would you rate them? Combo them? Just, I guess, do whatever you like. :)
