[Facts] Nevedhini
A mother with quintuplets named one of her daughters Nevedhini. I'm not sure of nationality of the family but most likely is Indian (I didn't see all of the show).
Any info on this name? Origin or meaning?

Could it be Nivedini? Never heard it as a personal name, though ...

My spelling may be off, but that's what it sounds like...

Well, nivedinI is the closest Sanskrit word that comes to mind: the root there is vid meaning to know, with obvious cognates in many Indoeuropean languages. The prefix ni (cognate to the ne in words like nether) is a particle indicating down, back, within and similar meanings. Together, nivid has the sense of communicating, especially introducing, or offering, especially offering oneself; though the original meaning of instruction is still present in the oldest language.nivedinI is the feminine of nivedI which means one who is aware, one who reports, or one who offers.
