Yes, and it also sounds like a soda. Remember in the book "Stuart Little" when Stuart stops for a soda at a little store and the owner rattles off a long list of the soads he has? "Pepsi Cola, Popsy Cola, Moxie Cola, Dipsy Cola ..." Hepsie Cola fits right in.
And like Hattie and Essie and the rest, it sounds like a servant/slave name.
