[Opinions] Jazielynn
Encountered the name "Jazielynn" today. Pronounced jaz-LEEN.
WDYT?
Personally, I wonder if the parents really stopped to think about how their daughter would have to correct the spelling and pronunciation of her name her entire life...

I generally like -lyn(n) names, but this one is really strange. I was surprized of pronounciation. When I first read this name I thought I don't know how to say it. Jazie Lynn or Jazzie Lynn maybe. I think this girl will be poor with it, still correcting people about how her name should be pronounced. I think it's really strange, if they pronounce it jaz-LEEN they could call her Jazlyn or Jazline or even Jazleen. Jazielynn looks a bit crazy to me and I don't like it.
Ugh, not only is Jazielynn a mess of ugly, it absolutely does NOT resemble jazz-LEEN in any way. It just blows my mind that parents can string together certain letters and insist on a certain pronunciation when it just isn't there. Just looking at Jazielynn, I'd say jazzie-lynn. Lynn is Lynn. If the parents wanted leen they could have spelled it Jasline or Jazzline or even Jazzleen as unattractive as that would be.
What is worse:
Jah-zee-lynn = jazzy lynn
Or Jazielynn pronounced jaz-LEEN?
It's all so bad, I can't decide.

Gah. I really like that pronunciation and Jasleen or Jasline would have been quite pretty. Instead, Lynn will be described as Jazzie her whole life.
There's something about the appearance of the spelling Jasline that makes me think of "gasoline."
I did feel that way when typing it too!
Not a fan of the sound, but I agree that Jasline would make me like it a bit more. I don't like the spelling at all.
I admit it has a sort of pretty sound, but geez, that spelling. That "ie" seriously throws me off; I wonder why it's silent. I would've pronounced it jay-zee-LIN. I'll never understand when people use the suffix -lyn/-lynn when they want the -leen pronunciation...
It would've been better spelt Jazline or Jazleen, I think.

It does have a rather pretty sound. Jazleen would have been better. I think I've seen Jasleen before.
this; all of this
