[Opinions] Leah??
I've loved this name for years, but have always thought it didn't fit with my kids names. Wdyt of the name? Do you prefer it over Emilia? I'm due in a few weeks and I keep changing my mind.

No, don't like it, never have. Emilia is so much nicer and fits much better with your other kids names. On a side note, I didn't know you were expecting again! Congrats! What number is this precious baby?

I really love both, but also think Emilia fits in best with my other kids names. Thank you, this will be my eighth child.

I like Leah quite a lot and prefer it to Emilia (just so over the Em names). It's funny, Leah isn't in my top ten, however, when it comes down to it, it's so pretty and comfortable that I could easily picture myself using it at the last minute. My fave combos are Leah Madeleine, Leah Marielle, Leah Juliet and Leah Corinne. I'm curious, what names are you pairing with Leah?

I've always loved Leah as a name. Its beautiful, classic and has a sweet airiness to it. It can go from a baby to kid to adult to old woman and never feel out of place. Emilia can do those things too, but its a bit heavier compared to the lightness of Leah and its more trendy at the moment which depending on how you feel can either be a good thing or a bad thing. I would choose Leah personally, but both are pretty names.

Love it, underused!

As others have said, I think Emilia nn Lia is a good solution. I prefer Emilia of the two, although Leah isn't bad either. What are your other kids' names? I remember I really liked them but can't remember what they are!

I prefer Emilia. Leah is kind of bland.

Leah is ok. It's not my favorite by no means but I don't hate it. It is a bit boring at times. I very much dislike Emilia so Leah would my "go-to" name.

I prefer Leah to Emilia. Emilia will inevitably be called Amelia. Leah is classic and sweet.

I prefer Emilia. I think it's classier. I do like the happy, carefree vibe I get from Leah.

Why not Emilia nn Lia? Best of both worlds - you don't have to choose.Lia seems a perfectly natural nn for Emilia to me.And I think Emilia Ruby nn Lia would be pretty darn perfect with your other kids.Good luck for your new little one, I hope her arrival goes smoothly.

I think it's perfect! My only problem is, some of my kids are already calling her Mia! Especially my younger two who can't say Emilia. I can teach them to say Lia instead though. Thanks for that.

No worries! It seemed like the perfect solution given that you love both and one is a very logical nickname of the other (well with a slight spelling change :) )No need to choose, you can have both.I don't think Mia to Lia is a huge jump.
