Can anyone think of any good nicknames for the girls name Alaska?
All I can come up with is Lassie and that just reminds me of a dog...

Hows about Eliska instead? Then you could use Lissy, Liz, Elle, or Ellie. Plus it's a legit name

Lassie reminds me of Lalasa...which is probably a made up name, but I read it in a book and liked it.

Alaska is a girls name?

I'm not sure its a good name for a person. It means "object to which the action of the sea is directed." I think if you are going to use it, it would be better as a dog name than a human name.

John Green wrote a really annoying book called Looking For Alaska and I think that's where people are getting it from.

I'd use Allie as a nickname for Alaska, but I'm also an Allie.

Also I sometimes get Allie too so im not too keen on that :)

Kaka- Oh, wait, that's Spanish for poop. Only an annoying sibling or bully would use that. But for some reason, I felt the need to add it to the list.

Pun-free answer: Laska isn't longer than Lassie, and I think it works.

Woah, Polish slang is bad for Laska.
Even being called Alaska would be bad.

i actually really like the name Alaska for a dog, so Lassie doesn't bother me haha. Lasky is cute. I guess Allie could work.

Alaska nick names: I mished the letters around and got these with exception i put another land y in Kally, Ally, and Sally
Ala, Ally, Alsa, Alka, Asa
Laska, Laka, Lasa,
Sala, Sally, Salka,
Kala, Kally, Kasa, Kasy
or perhaps Alaska nn Snow white since Alaska is cold sometimes
