[Opinions] Nigel...WDYT?
What do you think of Nigel? I've always loved Niall and Neil but I've never really thought about Nigel. Also, what names do you think would go well with it?

Nigel is very "British" to me, and old-fashioned to boot, so therefore I LOVE it. :b ~Heather~

As poetic_freedom said unfortunately in Australia there is a popular term for a loner 'Nigel no friends'. I think most Aussies associate it with that term now. However outside of Oz there obvioiusly isn't the same problem.Having said that though I can't say I particularly like it in any case. It sounds harsh to me. I do love Niall.l

I really dislike Nigel...but that is probably because it is Australian slang for a loner, and every Nigel I have ever known has been really quiet, introverted and antisocial.
Yeh whenever I hear the name I imagine people shouting 'Niiiiigeellll' which basically translates in Australia to them being a loser.

I think Nigel is a great name. I tend to like classic names with it.~~Counting down the days until I go to Spain~~

On a cartoon show, "The Wild Thornberrys", the father was called Nigel. I really can't get away from that association. (The character is a British guy with a big nose, loveable and funny) I do like Niall and Neil, though.Names that go with it:
Nigel Frederick
Nigel Mark
Nigel AnthonyOr did you mean siblings that go with it? Here's some ideas:
Brian
Arthur
Jonathan
Kathleen
Rosie

Even though I dispise "The Wild Thornberrys" it does remind me of Nigel from the show. So don't like that name. I still wouldn't like it if it wasn't from the show. Ned Flat: Why are you acting like this?
Yakko: We're not acting. We really are like this.

Dracula: I am Count Dracula!
Yakko: Didn't you use to teach math on Sesame Street?
---
Yakko: Well it's that time again!
Dot: To make fun of the Disney Channel?

Nigel's not bad. I'm not particularly fond of it, but I think it's acceptable and tolerable. Good mns might be: Joseph, Andrew, Robert, Thomas, Matthew, Matthias, William, Edward, Isaiah, John, James, Frederick/ Frederik/ Frederic, or Werner.

Nigel is okay...its different, and I dont hate it, but not something I would use. Which is okay, because I love so many boy names its hard to choose which I will use when the time comes. I dont mind it on someone elses kid...~~Kris~~

Cute! I'm partial to Niall as it's a family name, but Nigel is great too. I'm not so hot on the name Neil. I think Neil (or is it Neal?) Diamond ruined the name for me early on. A similar sounding name that I like very much is Noel? Have you considered that one? Nigel Thomas
Nigel Adrian
Nigel Oliver
Nigel Philip
Nigel Dominic
Nigel Ambrose
Nigel Peter / Piers
Nigel Sebastian
Nigel Damian
Nigel Francis
Nigel Andrew
Nigel Patrick
Nigel Desmond
Nigel David
Nigel Benedict
