Hard to say. I far prefer Callie to Carrie. Carrie to me is boring and trite and very 70s dated. But I like Callie as a nickname for names that begin with "Cal"---as a nickname for Caroline it seems forced and counter-intuitive. I guess I will say Callie even so.
