[Opinions] Alden or Damian?
And why? Second son... last and middle names are single syllables beginning with "L" and "H". Firstborn's name is two syllables beginning w/ M.. Thanks!

Damian, simply because I like it.

I say Alden because Damian makes me think of that scary movie.

Damian gmvI've known guys with both names and I just prefer Damian. It sounds friendlier. The Damian I knew said he did endure some "Omen" based reactions, but it was more funny to him than oppressive. I mean obviously he's not the devil? So only an idiot would react very negatively to the person because of that. I think Damian goes perfectly with the brother's name (I think I recall it from your earlier posts - great name). Also my favorite name is Damon and Damian's pretty close to that so I'm partial to it for that reason too.Alden is "classy" - because it is surnamey. I might be influenced by the fact that the Alden I knew came from a rich family and it was a family name for them. I like the name and it is not pretentious and it's easy to say, but it comes off a little aloof and quiet IMO. I vaguely think of Walden (Thoreau). So I vote for Damian.

AldenI think either one would be fine, but Damian makes me think of Damien from The Omen.

Alden, by far. I just like the sound better. Plus, I am a fan of using the same syllables for siblings. It's a personal quirk, but I think it makes the cadence of saying all the names in the family a little prettier.

AldenI like that it's more uncommon without being way out there. Damian is nice enough but all I think is St. Damian's icon.

Which icon? Are you thinking of the St Damian's cross in Assisi?

I specifically meant the Orthodox Christian icons with Sts. Cosmas and Damian (http://www.archangelsbooks.com/prodimages/Giant/Icons/a-43.jpg). Then there is a painting of their beheading that I think of but that's a bit more negative than I intended on sharing. Those are what come to mind with the name Damian.
