I like Edith, tollerate Edna, don't care much for Enid.

Edna is a family name, or was when it was mildly fashionable. Nobody has used it since. I really put it on a par with horrors like Beulah!

Edith ... whiney and unattractive. Where I live, it's a grandmother in a cartoon strip who says embarrassing things very loudly and is seldom without her gin and tonic. Oddly, the only Edith people I've known at all well were both alcoholics - I know the name isn't to blame, but the association is strong! I knew a fairly pleasant German Editha (eh-DI-ta) but it wouldn't work in English.

Enid is OK. I don't like it enough to use, but I'd like to meet a young one.

I love Edith, Enid is slowly growing on me, and I feel sort of wistful about Edna. I really don't think it's that bad.

I've always liked Edith (also think the nn Edie is cute). Never been a fan of Edna or Enid.

I'm less sure about Enid nowadays though. I still like it but there's this odd half second where I always want to say Eden instead, and feel like that could end up being more trouble than it's worth.

I don't mind Enid, it's quite cute. Edith I love. I didn't like it at first, but over the years have come to love it, especially with the nn Edie. I also love Edie as a full name. Edna is just frumpy to me.

I love all three, though Enid is currently my favorite. How do you feel about Íde, which can be Anglicized as Eda?

I don't like Enid or Edna. I think Edith is alright, but it's not a favorite. For me Edith and Esther are the same type of name, and of the two I prefer Esther.

I've always liked Edith but now I really love it due to a character association (Downton Abbey *ahem*), plus I really like my combo for it haha. I have Enid on my list, but quite a lot lower, and Edna I really don't like either.

I go back and forth with Enid and Edith, where sometimes I like them enough to put into combos and sometimes I just feel neutral. I don't like Edna, it seems really frumpy.

Actually I had a character named Enid (all the characters in this story had to have names that meant life or death), and someone told me she needed more fire or something and I ended up changing her name to Zoe. I wonder if I switch it back; the character changes completely based on what name I picked.

I think both Enid and Edna are very ugly. Edith is OK, since it reminds me of Finno-Swedish poet Edith Södergran. But I don't like the spelling Edit.

I have a soft spot for Enid - even though someone told me once that it reminded them of a bug. There's something wonderfully offbeat about the name Enid.

Edith is kind of dated, and I'm not really big on names that end with -th (other than Elisabeth, and maybe Elspeth). But the nickname Edie is cute.

Edna, however... I really, really dislike. I can't imagine it on a child. It almost sounds bitter. For some reason Edna provides the mental image of a woman in her 50s who can't stop complaining about everybody, especially her own kids.

Edna sounds clunky and ugly to me. Enid is not my style but I could probably get on board.

Of the three, I appreciate Edith most, Enid second, and Edna third. I don't mind Edith and I think Edie is really really cute. Actually, one could probably get away with Edie for Enid as well, if one wanted to. I dislike Edna as well.

It's the other way around with me. I've always liked Edna, I'm starting to like Edith, but I don't like Enid. My favourite E name's Ebba though.

I have never liked Enid. It makes me think of "aphid" and "glottid"

Edna I've tried to like because it's in my family, but I just don't like saying the -dn- sound, the way it makes my nose close when I say it.
