Reminds me of Ann Coulter who is human trash. I think it has a harsh sound anwywho. I much prefer Cole!

Surnames as fns are NMS, however, between the two, Colter is infinitely better.

Not a fan. It reminds me of Ann Coulter. Colton is better if you want a name with similar sound.

Not a fan but if I had to pick one I'd go Colter over Kolter I've never been a fan of K names.

Absolutely - if you like it, use it.
I first learned of this word alternately spelled prior to this as a name proposal through the Robert Burns Poem "To a Mouse". It is the knife edge or blade of a plough.

Reminds me of singer Jessi Colter and Ann Coulter. (pronounced the same) It follows the surname trend, and is close to Colten, so I can see it as a name. But it's too strongly associated with Ann Coulter to me to like it.
