Help[Opinions] Ashtrid?
A friend from high school recently named her daughter Ashtrid. I'm guessing she liked the name Astrid, but wanted to use the nickname Ash.
Anyway, what do you think? My initial reaction was horror, and it hasn't changed much since then!

Reminds me of ASHTRAY. It also makes me think of some of these super contrived naming trends that been happening the last few years. I much prefer Astrid.

So..I don't like this but I don't know..
In USA and other countries is quite normal to create a new 'modern name'. Isn't it true?
But in my mind Ashtrid only sounds like a bad pronounce of Astrid...
