1. It doesn't match, but it doesn't clash either. It'd be fine.
2. Margaret and Everett are not too similar.
3. Everett is one of the few sort-of-trendy names I identify as a surnamey surname name, that I find really likeable and personable. It's ... sort of yuppie seeming? the way any surname name is. But without such a good-ol-boy vibe.
4. Probably get more popular - maybe by a lot, top 50, probably not top 20
I wouldn't give a rip about Great Uncle Everett, myself, as long as he's deceased. We considered naming a son the same name as a widowed grandmother's second husband.
