But I would not want to have it as my middle name. YMMV. It's too trivial and sensuous, and there's the noise thing.

As a fruit, it's wonderful. As a dictionary word, it means the farting noise that can be made by sticking your tongue out and blowing hard. You decide!

It makes me think of 'blowing a raspberry', it begins with the word 'rasp', and the only other thing I associate raspberries with is jam.

I can sometimes be a bit curmudgeon about non-names on this board, but I actually lean more towards "anything goes in the middle" with a solid name I don't think Raspberry would be so awful.

Although, I've always thought it was a really ugly word, I vastly prefer "framboise".

I knew a girl whose last name was Raspberry. I was kinda jealous! As a mn...it's very quirky and whimsical. Okay, it kind of makes me laugh (which I hate to say). Anyway, I like the "Ras" sound...which is why I like the similar sounding Roz.

I like it as a middle name. For me it's cool, but I think in most cases it's a little too weird.

It's silly, not crazy. I would avoid it.

I think almost anything is fine for a middle name, except for hateful or explicit words. Raspberry would be fine.

I think it could work. But Malina or Afanen are so much more interesting!

I'm of the opinion that you can use just about anything as a middle name. So, yeah, Rasperrby is the middle is fine, even kind of fun.

Being named after food might not be the most pleasant experience for the person. I'd steer clear of it.
