[Opinions] Re: Fern
in reply to a message by Puck
I feel that Fern is good because it's modest and simple and naturey, like Lark and Ivy.
And it's straightforward and plain without being ugly - like Jane and Ruth and Gail.
However I also find it not so great, because I feel its sound is harsh and strict, like the words burn and stern and learn. This makes it too plain somehow, not feminine or light enough, like Rowan or Briar. And I don't like how it seems a little too rustic and farmy - almost (but not quite) deliberately peasanty-romantic like Clover or Daisy, which is nms.
So, 6/10, a good name but not a fave. (I just removed it from my list today. I used to like it more)
Fern Margot is the best of those combos, IMO.
