[Opinions] Noga
I came across this name in an Israeli novel, it means "brighteness" and also refers to the planet Venus in Hebrew.Thoughts? Too reminiscent of the Noga Hilton hotels?- Formerly known as Murasaki-Some thoughts and recipeshttp://italianlaowaigirl.blogspot.com/http://lagerusalemmecucinata.blogspot.com/

I thought of the Russian word for legs. I've never heard of the Noga Hilton hotels.

It's a GP of mine. I prefer it spelled Nogah.I've never heard of Noga Hilton hotels, but I don't think it's very usable where I live because of words like nog and noggin. Plus the -og sound probably comes across as harsh.

It sounds like some sort of trendy yoga but not kind of work out to me.I'm not familiar with the hotel.Outside of the trendy work out thing, I think it's pretty enough sound wise and the meaning is rather neat.

ROLF, it means ‘’leg’’ in Croatian and I can’t unsee it.

Hahaha, that's my uncle's name.

You mean Rolf? I always get a jolt when it hyperlinks a normal word as a name.

Ahhh...I thought that "Rolf" was the Croatian word for leg! But you wrote it like an abbreviation for "rolling on the floor laughing"?
OK, so NOGA is the Croatian word for leg! Sorry about the confusion!

I like it. It sounds like the name a cavewoman would have. I've never heard of the Noga Hilton hotels, so that's not an issue for me!

Noga means "carefully" in Swedish, so that's what I think of. But that's hardly a problem outside Scandinavia.
I've never heard about Noga Hilton.
Can't say I like the sound of Noga, although it makes me think of nougat...

I agree with Felie - the sound of it is ugly.
Neat meaning, but sounds like a word for the exercise I get sitting in this chair.
I've never heard of the hotels, myself.
