[Opinions] Re: a name in the obituary this morning
in reply to a message by RoxStar
There's a woman who is a regular at the store where I work, and she's named Fleecie, spelled the same way. She's elderly and very sweet. There's also a woman named Cookie, but in that case it's a nickname. I asked her once how she came to be called that, and she said it's just what everyone called her since she was a little girl.
Incidentally, I used to have a neighbor called Woolly, after his remarkable ginger beard.
Sidenote: I just checked my local obituaries to make sure we weren't speaking of the same Fleecie, and came across a Judene and a Bradys Onita. Interesting names!

There's at least one woman named Cookie in my area who sells real estate. Go figure.
I know two Cookies! One I know for sure her real name is Patricia, and the other one was a baby born to somebody in my class when I was in high school. I *think* that baby's name was something like Ashanti, or Ashantay, or something similar sounding, but can't be sure,
