I like Leonard because of the 'leo' part. Nice lion association. Lennart loses that, and the spelling reminds me of braggart. Lennard would be better, but it still feels like dumbing down the spelling.

Leonard brings to mind the image of an old gentleman. Lennard and Lennart make me think of a sleazy used car salesman.
