I took a look at a recipe for spaetzle, and it's nearly identical to a recipe for knoephla (http://germanrussian.weebly.com/knoephla.html)
So no wonder I couldn't remember it. I make spaetzle, but I just call it knoephla!

Never heard the word knoephla, my family has always called it spaetzle! I make it too. Ha
