What do you think of Lucas and August? What do you like/dislike about them?
Luke isn't really an option where I live, so no need to mention that. :)

I love them paired together. A very nice set. Didn't expect that.
But I guess you're not looking for opinions on them as a set.
I love August. It's been my favorite for about ten years. It's a family name too (but in the late 1800's every fourth man had the name August either as a first or middle name so it's not special in that regard).
I don't think there is an obvious nickname. I like that. I much prefer August as a full name over any potential nickname.
Lucas is nice. I feel like it might be popular among little boys but I'm not around kids these days so I don't really know. I've never known a Lucas and I would be pleasantly surprised if I did. I don't think Lucas has an obvious nickname either. Good! ;)

I love August, it's handsome and understated. I also think it's an unusual classic, but when I was searching for names not in the top 1000 I realized it's more common than I thought! I still think it's great. I love Gus as well.

I love, love, LOVE August! I first came across it in a book I read, and the character was great, and I just thought (and still think) it's such a good idea for a name! It's so bright, lively, and happy sounding, and it's not very popular at all where I currently live, which is a plus for me.
Lucas is okay. I personally prefer Luka, but it's a nice name, just a bit flat, and not particularly exciting to me. I think Lucas and August go very well together!
