You can change the spelling, but I am interested in your take on the name itself too.
Do you think Clarisse, Nadine and Thandie works? Hypothetically.

Where I live, it would be Thandi, pronounced TAHNdi and meaning 'love'. I like it and am very used to seeing and hearing it - there are lots of names (Thandiwe, Thandeka etc) that it's used as a nn for.
How would you pronounce it: with a T or a TH? The Th sound would make me think of a lithping Thandra!

It seems like a mature choice to me, but I think it might be too foreign for American eyes.

Not sure how to pronounce it, but don't like either way. If the th is like think or thistle, then it sounds like Sandy with a lisp. If it's a hard t, then it sounds like baby-talk for Candy. Either way, the name seems very babyish and doesn't seem to go well at all with the grown-up Clarice and Nadine.
