It's not too bad. I've certainly heard worse. It reminds me also of Safronia (a name I've found a bit in records from the early to mid 1800s), as well as Verona.

I feel I should like it, but I think of Sauron and "sardonic."

First thing that popped into my head is My Sharona. Second thing is sarongs.

Here in Italy '-ona' is the mark of 'big' so 'Big Sara'.

If a 'Sara' want to be called 'Sarona' we would think of her that she is curvy and maybe a lascivious girl.

Hmm... not sure I've ever heard of Sarona. I've heard of Sarina and Sonora...
