the first Liberty I ever heard of was a whiny two-year-old on a show about dieting (her mom was the dieter), so that's a bad association for me. I love Libby, but as a nickname for Elizabeth.

I love Liberty but would only use it as a middle name.

Libbey would be the obvious nickname and I'm sure that is what people would call her. But I personally do not like Libby.

Honestly, the first stripper I ever saw was named Liberty. I'm sure its some sort of commentary on sexual liberation or something. Anyway, because of that I can't see it as anything but a stripper name.

Not a big fan, seems kind of in-your-face. But Libby is cute and the best nickname for it.

I like Liberty, it makes a good name imo. It has lots of spunk and character and I can see it working on a female of any age. Libby would definitely work as a nn, no problem.
