[Opinions] Cleopatra
How would you react if you met a kid named Cleopatra?Do you think Cleopatra is usable on a real person? (Personally, I don't think it is, but it would be interesting to see it on a real person.)

I would think "God how pretentious." It's not usable on a real person. Cleo, on the other hand, is cute.

I think it's absolutely usable - or at least no less so than Ophelia, Juliet, Cressida or any other of the Shakespearan heroines. I would think, interesting parents.

I'd probably think a mixture of things:"I wonder if her parents know how hard it's going to be growing up with that name.""God, teaching Ancient Egypt is going to be tricky..." [In England, it is a very popular topic to teach when children are 7/8.]"That's one way to get to the nickname Cleo...""Why didn't they just call her Cleo?!""Poor kid."

I would be quite shocked to meet a Cleopatra and I would never use it myself. That said, I LOVE the name Cleo, just Cleo.

I agree, I don't think it's usable but it'd be interesting to see. I like Cleo though =)

I actually think it's pretty cool. I'd prefer to see it to a misspelt or a bad totally made up name to be honest. And the awesome Cleo is always an option. Apparently one of my friend's mum wanted to call her Cleopatra. I think the right person could pull it off, but it'd probably be on my guilty pleasure list, not to be used, if I liked it.

I would think it was incredibly awesome. Cleopatra is one of my favorite names.Yeah, it's usable IRL. Cleopatra lends itself to a lot of reasonable nicknames, like Cleo, Clea, Cat, Patty, Patsy, and Pat. I'm actually surprised it's never become popular.
