Hmmm not too sure what I'd think. To me it's weird as a name and it doesn't really work.

I would strongly suspect that the girl had a teenage mom, or that she was actually a mermaid.

Lovely colour, lovely gem, but not a lovely name. I remember my cousin had a My Little Pony with this name.
Not usable on a child.

I would think 'hippy parents'. I love so many of the jewel names, but not this one. I don't think it's usable. Too long, has a quacky sound and is too much of a word to be a name (I think)

I don't think its really usable, as it would probably be shortened to Aqua or Marine, probably the latter when she is old enough to realize its ridiculous.

I'd excuse myself as quickly as possible and go in the bathroom to laugh.
Seriously, a kid named Aquamarine sounds like the parents allowed the four-year-old sister or brother to pick the name and they picked their favorite crayon color.
