I really like it. Nice sound, cool astronomy/star association, and it's one of the few Arabic names that I like, which could honour my paternal family. Right now I have it as a middle for Nikolai.

I love it. Constellation and star names are awesome. Nashira is another one of my favorites as well as Perseus, Orion, Cygnus, and Lyra.

I love Altair, I think it's awesome and I secretly love any boys name that could possibly be shortened to Ali/Allie

I don't like it. The meaning is beautiful, but the sound reminds me of alter, altars and Altoids

Similar sounding (but entirely diffent meanings), I love Adair. And I used to find Alastair boring because I knew so many, but now I like it more and more
