[Opinions] Mamrie?
Thoughts on Mamrie? Does it works for a name or could it be a nickname?
Replies
I think of mammaries.
All I can think of is mammory. So no its not a name.
Mamrie Hart!
I love her!
As for the name, I only associate it with her and I think it works for her. However, I don't see myself ever naming a child Mamrie.

It looks too much like "mammary" for it to be usable for me. Just stick to Mamie.
It's not bad, I guess, but then again I'm aware of Mamrie Hart and how she pronounces it - MAYM-ree as opposed to MAM-ree. But I bet she has to correct people on the pronunciation the whole time and so I don't think the name is nice enough sounding to be worth the butt ache!
I could see it being used as a nickname for Miriam or Marianne or Maryam, something like that.

no, it doesn't work ...
Because it sounds almost exactly like mammary.
Look it up.

It's pronounced MAIM-ry
Not MAM-ry, at least that's how Mamrie Hart pronounced it.

I'm well aware of that, I was curious of what other people thought of it since I saw it on a Youtuber!
It looks like a misspelling of mammary. It doesn't work as a name, nicknames would include booby, buzunga, tata, etc.
Yep
My first thought was mammary glands.
I can't even offer any justifications for using the name.

I thought it was a typo and Mamie was intended, until I clicked it and saw it repeated with the same spelling. I must agree it's far too close to mammary.
It is a name of a Youtuber, so that is why I'm asking about it!
It's not as bad as an SN. As an actual name... it's unfortunate.
Poor kid.
