[Opinions] Re: Mathea
Mattea is lovely, but I can't really get Mathea... I think it is, like you say, quite... 'doughy'. Earthy and clunky and not very sleek or elegant. Mathea is Mattea when it's middle aged. That said, if they're said the same I like (but would substitute Mattea for Mathea):Mathea Beatrix
Mathea Cecily
Mathea Circe
Mathea Cybele (I love Cybele so much I used it to name one of my characters in a pet project, and not only was it the top choice in the polls I did for the character's name here, it was my personal choice... it's just such a great name which fits her so well. Anyway, it;s a name which needs more attention, and Mattea Cybele would be super pretty. Hell, Mathea Cybele is pretty)
Mathea Gwendolen
Mathea Ingrid (maybe too clunky. Mattea Ingrid is... slightly pushing it, but the spelling pushes it too close to the edge)
Mathea Lilian
Mathea Miriam (I don't like alliteration usually, but this is kinda... singsongy and catchy)
Mathea Rosamond (would prefer Mattea Rosamund, but even then... I only like it because I like both names. Not sure about it)
Mathea Signy
Mathea Vashti (I do think it's too much. Vashti is ugly-pretty and interesting, and Mathea is... heavy looking, pretty in sound. I think it's too ugly-pretty a combo. I think Vashti needs a light, relatively normal, safe-pretty name to lighten it, and Mathea, at least on paper, drags it down)
Mathea Vivien (or Vivian, Vivienne)
