[Opinions] Coral
Do you like the name Coral? Which do you prefer, Coral or Coralie?

I love the imagery of coral reefs, but as a name I'm not particularly fond of the sound. I have to concentrate on not slurring the end and just saying CORL, and thus sounding like that one guy on "The Walking Dead" every time he tries to say Carl's name. :-)That said, I think Coralie is very pretty (I also like Rosalie). Cora is sweet, too.

I far prefer Coralie (and totally despise Coraline).Coral looks like a dyslexic attempt at Carol; I had a colleague with a Coral granddaughter who would have been Carol but then her parents decided it was too common and switched the vowels.

I like the color and the beachy imagery, but not really the name, though it's definitely better than the frumpy Cora. Prefer Coral simply because it's easier to know how to say it.

Funny. I love the sound of the word, but I don't like it as a name. I don't like Carol on a girl either. Prefer Coralie, but not a huge fan. Also, now I come to think of it, naming a person after a skeleton is a little bit creepy!

Coral >>>>> Coralie.
I used to like Coralie, but now I think it sounds schmaltzy. Like Rosalie.
I still like Coral okay. It's interesting.
I like Carol better.

I'm neutral on Coral. It's a fun idea, but I don't love the "core" sound. It's a bit harsh to me. So A for effort, but nothing I'd use.I prefer Coral to Coralie. More straightforward, less flimsy.

I don't mind the name Coral, though I wouldn't use it. I prefer Coralie out of the two names, but again, I wouldn't use Coralie either.

It's OK but I prefer just CoraCoral vs Coralie: Coral

I like it. I actually know a little girl named Coral, she's probably around 10. I thought it was a really pretty and unique name when I first heard it. I probably prefer Coral to Coralie because it has more attitude and will suit her better when she's a grown woman.
