I like it better than Elizabeth but not nearly as much as Bethany. I think it's soft and kind of meek but not weak.
I once shared an apartment with a Beth. Beth was her given name, not short for anything. She wasn't tough and she wasn't meek, she was nice enough but I would say she had very little personality. She was always congested and sniffling with allergies, and Phillip used to call her Sinus Beth.
